What succes means to me...

As we are approaching the 4th quarter of an extremely significant 2011, I am seeing more and more what success truly is. Now, before you go and say something, read what I mean by this.

Over the last several months the entire SRNC team has gone through up's and down's and nothing has stopped us from positive movement. There are certain things that happen in your life that dictate what success means to you on a personal level. In light of Scheme and I dropping our latest "Two Turntables and a Mic" series, I wanted to use this as an example. DJ Muggs himself showed loved for both the audio and video release of the series where we featured his production. To me, there is no greater success with a project like this. I am by no means downplaying all the people who have showed us love, from the blogs to the everyday friends we have, BUT, to have the "man of the hour" actually pay attention to what we are doing and why we did it is absolutely 100% successful to me.

Scheme, myself and the entire SRNC team have some major plans to wrap up this 2011 yr on a high note! We have the release of "The Life That I Chose" EP in November 2011 which will entail a HUGE release party! Won't go into too many details just yet but what I Can say is BE READY because we are coming for y'all!

A couple of weeks ago the two dropped the audio for the TT&AM : DJ Muggs Series which received praise from DJ Muggs himself via Twitter. This is the 3rd installment of Scheme & DJ Scend’s “Two Turntables and a Mic Series.” This time they chose to mix some classic production from the legendary Soul Assassin, DJ Muggs. This segment of the series picks up where the last one left off. It’s been a couple of weeks since they had dropped the last audio & video version over NO I.D. production, so they decided to get together and work on the next one. These series will eventually culminate and create the “Two Turntables and a Mic : Mixtape Series” which will have all the audio, as well as each accompanying video in one project. EVENT: Elementary Thursdays @ Empire Liquors

The big homie Rude 1 invited me down to spin this week for the weekly hip hop party over at Empire Liquors! Man I swear I have so much fun spinning this party and have been blessed to have been booked numerous times for it. The homie Shon Dervis holds down the 2nd residency spot for this weekly party. They also got my little bro Ricky Dubs throwing down a set. Basically, it's family night up in there this week!

AUDIO: Two Turntables and a Mic: DJ Muggs Series

As y'all know, Scheme and I started our ode to hip hop otherwise known as the "Two Turntables and a Mic" series. Each series features a producer who in our eyes (and most others) set a standard for hip hop culture and music. Some words from the Molemen Records site about it's official release today:

"Scheme & DJ Scend return with their 3rd installment to their "Two Turntables and a Mic Series." For this series they chose DJ Muggs from the legendary Soul Assassins as their producer of choice.
