Since last week I have been on nerd mode more than ever. I can't sleep, barely remember to feed my fat self and I can't concentrate on anything past learning my way around Pro Tools at the moment.....

MUSIC: A New Beginning...

Last night marked a very special time in my life for me.
It's funny how some days I can sit and be mad as hell at not making any forward movement for a little while or whatever the case may be, but than I have those days that just can't hold me down like last night.

I am officially making the jump into the world of engineering and I could not be happier with my first session. Long story short Scheme knocked out 2 joints last night and I was in charge of the boards.

There are certain moments in everyone's life where they are reminded of something, and last night was one of them for me.

Moral is, don't ever short change yourself on your endeavors no matter how bad things get because right around the corner awaits a huge gift of positivity to embrace you!

So only a handful of people know the real story behind how I got these records and I still wish I could find the rest of the series, but I took these out yesterday before heading out and threw one onto the platter and the minute I heard the first track on volume 1 I was brought back to my beginning days as a DJ almost 10 yrs!! It was surreal to actually see how much progress I have personally made, from good to bad, and to truly be able to have something trigger a new level of appreciation for all the blessings...

I have many other amazing records that are rare and what not, but the story behind these is that of a hungry 18 yr old who knew vinyl was his addiction...

AUDIO: The Ugly Face EP - REMIXES

So as many of you know I was proud and honored to have released my first ever project as a producer with The Ugly Face EP back in March of this yr before heading out to SXSW. The project featured production from myself and RICKY DUBS under the name of ALTERED ETHICS. The rhymes were all blessed by my big homie DREAMTEK of the 7 ODDZ camp.

He has flipped the script and remixed 7/8 of the tracks on that EP and it giving this away as a free download to all the fans!

VIDEO: A Tribe Called Quest - Documentary

I know there are millions of heads out there who have been anticipating the release of this particular documentary for some time now, but I have personally been drooling at the thought of seeing this! Tribe is one of my favorite hip hop groups to ever grace the culture. Not many words need to be said about their significance cuz if you don't know, you won't know...

I had the honor of meeting the man behind this project, Michael Rappaport during a night out and man was he a cool down to earth dude!

I also would like to plug my Tribe Called Quest tribute mix that I did live on CRB Radio last yr right around this time! If you haven't heard, I've been told it's my best one so check it out below and show love on the comments!

AUDIO: Esohel drops "Essential" LP

So my brother ESOHEL has finally dropped his long anticipated project "Essential"

I remember the homie selling mix CD's back when we were in high school together and to now share stages with him is quite the full circle!

I am also proud to say I co-produced the title track for this album under my collab team ALTERED ETHICS and I am damn honored that Esohel chose this track to represent the title joint for this entire project!

EVENT: Christmas in July - A Tribute to DJ's

Let me start by saying I am thrilled to be booked and chosen to represent this particular event! Not only for the lineup of my turntable brothers I will be jamming with all night, but at the fact that The FYF Nation Family wanted me to rep this event!

The FYF guys have put together quite the event here featuring turntablism from dj's RUDE 1 x PUMPIN PETE x T.OTAL K.ONTROL and PRATT!

Not only do you get the DJ aspect of hip hop for this event, SCHEME & I will be performing a live set as well as THE NATURALS.
